Though various groups have been complaining about the use of torture on Fox's 24 for years, the issue seems to have come to head, maybe because of the article in this week's New Yorker detailing all the complaints. Now, Fox announces that torture is out, not because of any ethical issues, just because its getting boring (fair point). Jack Bauer will get his information another way—asking nicely and bringing flowers and chocolates. He will now also yell: "Drat!" instead of "Damn It!"
