Fake Architect Designs Awesome Building
Did you see Cube? Did it freak you out? Don't live in these apartment buildings.
It's been in the works for a while, but today Italian architect David Fisher unveiled official plans to build rotating skyscrapers in Dubai and Moscow. They'll be up to 80 stories tall and generate enough electricity to be completely self-sufficient. They'll also have ghostly moving staircases like in Harry Potter. Ok, we made that last part up. Maybe.
Everyone (who isn't bothered by the idea of living in a twisty, whirly building with shifting floors) is super-psyched about the rather ambitious and very environmentally-positive architectural plans. We might be more excited, but we're going to wait and see what happens since apparently Fisher earned his architectural degree from a fake university. Not saying he can't do it. Just saying that might, you know, add an interesting twist.

I think I lost my apetite...
I never saw Cube, but these apartment buildings still freak me out. Don't get me wrong, the design seems very unique, in a sort of sci-fi jenga sort of way, but lets be honest, its not entirely practical to be swiveling around Dubai first thing in the morning after waking up. It would be cool if they gave each floor a remote control though! Maybe in a few more years...
