Add this to the Big Ideas! run-down: The Greener Gadgets event in NYC last Friday brought innovators, designers, entrepreneurs, and other industry advocates together to discuss consumer electronic greening solutions.

Presented by Inhabitat and Marc Alt + Partners, the conference focused on "design for sustainability, product life cycle management, take-back and recycling programs, energy efficiency, greener materials, and green lifestyle and product marketing."

The winner—a DIY energy monitor called the EnerJar (seen above)—and several other notable entries can be seen in this video.
