Is Bill Richardson A Traitor?
Over the weekend, Hillary Clinton adviser James Carville called Bill Richardson's (remember, he's the New Mexico governor who pulled out of the race for the Democratic nomination a couple months ago) endorsement of Barack Obama "a betrayal" of the Clinton camp's support and public wooing.
Carville then proceeded to poetically tie the change of heart to the actions of a certain Holy Week star: "Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic." Which would cast Hillary in the role of Jesus, right? Quite a bit of Cajun rage, if you ask us.
Oh, and just 29 days until the Pennsylvania primary!

The Founding Fathers would be ashamed
This might just be the last blog I write about politics in America. I have written about Obama being the American Mandela, the burden of the hope he brings, and the man he is in his own right. But I don’t know anymore. I still believe in Obama, but I just don’t believe in American politics anymore. If this is how they want to play politics in America then I don’t want to play anymore. This is too sick. This is nothing to be proud of. Yes, they won - the cynics and morally corrupt. This is just not right guys. This is not what people fought for and died for. The Founding Father would be ashamed. And so should America. http://angryafrican.net/2008/03/23/the-founding-fathers-will-be-ashamed/

Judas?
I think Hillary Clinton and her team are grabbing at straws to a ridiculous degree. It is admirable that Bill Richardson had the guts to step away long enough to think for himself and consider the bigger issue here: the country's future. He showed himself to be a true patriot in putting country first. (I sound like a Republican, I know, but I am NOT a Republican - I am a Democrat for life).
