Documentary filmmaker Jehane Noujaim won the 2006 TED Prize. TED Prize winners get $100,000, but they also get to make a world-changing "wish" that, in theory, comes true with the help of the movers and shakers at the TED conference. Her wish was to bring the world together through film.

So her idea is Pangea Day. In May of 2008 a 4-hour program of inspirational films will be screened in eight cities around the globe, and broadcast online. The films will be punctuated by live speeches and musical performances.
