War Dance Movie
Friends of GOOD worked on this new documentary, War Dance, that premiers in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
The problems in northern Uganda between the government and the brual Lord's Resistance Army have been escalating since the '90s. The L.R.A. ranks among history's worst groups, and in places where they're active children are abducted to serve as soldiers or forced into refugee camps.
So watch in awe as the students in one refugee camp school prepare to compete in Uganda's largest dance competition (And win? It looks like they might win) and witness the transcendent power of music and dance.
The trailer (and lots more) is here.
