As they say if the shoe fits wear it! Barack had no reason to rush to claim Pres Bush was referring to him as their are many who he might have been referring to, Take EX PRES CARTER He has been interferring in Pres administrations for years now.. Also Pelosi and her little visit to a terriost state.. Obama is right in step with Rev Wright and the second denial of Wright was all a planned spoof! He agrees with Wright 100% and I am sick & tired of this so called Black Church blaming white people when the black masses have exchqanged the white masters for black ones whom they are making wealthy at the expense of the poor blacks..Blacks should wake up and stop supporting these so called civil rights leaders who are using the modern day blacks just to live in luxury..Obama is trying to make a racist issue out of what President Bush said and that is just not so..I never thought I would pity Hillary but she has been torn apart by the lib media and accusing at every turn of being racist whereas the Obama campaign is the racist one, especially that wife of his!

I like McCain, but I don't think he's presidential. He would be a great "dog" to sick on people or to call off, maybe as a VP. Clinton has the best "crank-it-out" capacity, and some great ideas, but a fickle moral compass. Obama is a visionary, and has no favorites. He will get less done, but what he will do will be foundations for America's future, not the twinkie stop-leak solutions we have become accustomed to.

Please contribute to the Libertarian Presidential candidate for 2008! We need a viable 3rd party choice to get us out of Iraq, protect our Bill of Rights, and get us out of the devastating US drug war!

It's good to question comparisons to Nazi Germany, but is the only difference we can come up with that the genocide was "against their own people" and not foreigners?
go to post
In the comparisons between Nazi Germany and the U.S. today, no one mentions the huge difference separating the two that render this comparison absurd: the government in Nazi Germany carried out a genocide within their own borders, against their own people, which, in turn, was the cause of a mass exodus out of the country. Is the United States killing untold numbers of innocents worldwide every day? Yes. Is the United States currently killing, or about to start killing, its own citizens within its own borders? No.
And if you do take your dollars and "flee" the country, you might notice that in your new home, people actually take to the streets and do not relent until their demands have been met, unlike here, where we (I am including myself) are too self-absorbed to really do anything other than worry about "me". It's so easy to collect your money, move from the country that you've never tried to change, to another country, where you can drink your beer and shake your head sadly with a local over the U.S. You will be just as inconsequential there.

Dear fellow citizens interested liberty,
Bob Barr is not a libertarian. He's basically a Republican infiltrator whose nomination would mean the death of the Libertarian Party, and hence the death of the possibility of electoral freedom in America. --That's the reader's digest version.
The long verion is:
He needs to be stopped from getting the LP nomination in Denver. Among Bob Barr's utterly terrible and anti-libertarian positions (positions he still supports) are:
1) He supports militarizing the drug war (an attack on property rights and personal freedom that is utterly in conflict with his supposed defense of property rights with respect to gun rights) http://www.bobbarr.org/default.asp?pt=newsdescr&RI=858
2) He opposes the right of gays and polygamists to marry ('separate but equal') by authoring the "Defense of Marriage Amendment" (which passed)
3) He supported the prosecution in Georgia that tried to sentence a black 17 year old (named Genarlow Wilson) to 10 years in prison for getting a consensual blowjob from a white 15 year old girl (playing to the racist and anti-sex theocratic 'big brother' anti-libertarian demographic) http://www.bobbarr.org/default.asp?pt=newsdescr&RI=864
4) He started his career as a prosecutor, suppressing free speech with 'motions in limine' and whining appeals for 'contempt of court', as well as practicing 'voir dire' (jury rigging) and all that that entails.
5) Bob Barr was employed by the CIA from 1970-78. This agency is a secretive agency that often engages in illegal behavior supposedly for the best interests of America. They regularly finance their operations by the sale of illegal drugs. (Details in 'The Politics of Heroin' by Alfred W. McCoy) Bob's later status as a 'drug warrior' perhaps has a lot to do with this, or perhaps has to do with him being a complete fool. Either way, he's unfit to represent the LP. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Barr
6) He opposes (by apparently failing to understand) the right of juries to jury nullification of law, here: http://www.bobbarr.org/default.asp?pt=newsdescr&RI=771 Bob Barr, from the prior article: 'Jurors take an oath at the start of the trial to set aside their personal views and prejudices, and objectively consider the evidence to be presented to them at the trial. They are then to render their decision on guilt or innocence based on that evidence and — importantly — on the law as they will be given it by the judge.' (And I really do just think he's a simple dolt, not ill-intentioned, since he praises one of the founding fathers of our nation --George Mason-- who was an enormous proponent of jury nullification of law.)
Barr is basically a nazi, someone who does not understand the concept of property rights or personal freedom.
In addition to that, he recently made a fool of himself as the brunt of Sasha Baron Cohen's pranks in 'Borat'. It was hilarious, because Bob Barr made a total ass of himself. Check it out here: http://www.chbn.com/Clip.aspx?key=8BF2D6BFC8CACD0C and here: http://www.reason.com/blog/show/117834.html --Which means that even if he wins the LP nomination, at best he is the brunt of a billion jokes on the internet.
If Bob Barr wins the nomination, the Libertarian Party (and it's typical 48-50 states of ballot access) will basically be rendered worthless. It will no longer be the party of the oppressed minority, of the people who were taught to love liberty from experiencing the tyranny of people like Bob Barr (a sizeable enough population, once one enters Georgia). The LP will become one more party that mixes and matches its positions from a mixed bag of coercive political wishes, ...wishes that need not have any philosophical consistency.
If Barr wins at the LP con, it will be a green light for the USA government to ramp oppressing people into high-gear, Soviet style. This is because it will show our public masters that they were correct, and that the general public doesn't have any real problem with the infiltration and neutralization of actual political opposition.
History has shown that that's when things get really ugly: http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills -the link is to "The Democratic Peace" by R.J. Rummel. It is a book that reveals the relationship between true, open elections and tyranny. The fewer and less you have of the former, the more you will have of the latter.

Wayne Root is the only serious Libertarian Party candidate capable of bringing in 1,000,000+ votes. Barr is a drug warrior homophobe moron who disbelieves in jury rights. To hell with him.

Does anyone Understand or care about economics. Social programs do not help anyone. Free markets are what made this country great. Obama talks about change but, he just wants to continue the long tradition of expanding government and social programs. What we really need is true reform. Completely Privatize Schools , Roads, heath care, police etc. Or at least let the states run them if they want them. Get rid of all subsidies and and trade barriers. Let the market decide what is usual to produce or not. We also need to reestablish our property rights. While Ron Paul is in favor of free markets he is somewhat of a conspiracy nut, and also completely out of the race. John Mccain has the best voting record of all candidates on free trade, by far. If you can't vote for mccain then if Bob Barr runs vote for him. Please lets not further expand these socialist agendas. These programs are what give the government and a president power over the economy. Without them they are powerless. We should not put our faith in any president to fix the economy. It is far to complex for any one person to manage. The best way to fix it is to keep the government out of it.

John McCain has 1 child in Iraq. That doesn't make or break his or any other Commander-in-Chiefs ability to declare war or 'conflict' as it were.
However, its obvious John McCain is not an option, with his 100 years comment and the media's attempt to help him brush it over with differing opinions about what he said.
Now, I like Obama, but, I've said it elsewhere he doesn't have the experience and it shows...look at Afghanistan, he is running the committee that over-sees NATO, and has not held one meeting; he could simply have had one meeting to outline the agenda then, just like a President would do, DELEGATE control to a subordinate while he campaigns. It maybe a tactic to hide how he would handle things as Prez, but the Taliban just attempted to assassinate the Afghan prez, NATO has been begging for forces for months and he is still, by his actions, ignoring it. This from the man who said he'd go into Pakistan to get Bin Laden. Um, hello?
Hillary has what it takes, but the key for both Hillary and Obama, is not who votes them into office, but getting CONGRESS behind them. Yes, 'biffula', you're right, putting faith in anyone of these candidates is ridiculous, especially when Bush reminded everyone how you control this nation:
control congress.
The President was never intended to work in a vacuum, but most people put their faith in one candidate because they just don't know how the system works. They don't seem to understand that you have to vote for the Pres, then the congressmen who will support the pres, and finally the local/state officials that will keep that political philosophy implemented in your town. Lets hope the American people learn this quickly. They should already know it getting out of high school...

Come on, do we really want another 100 years of war? Our military is already severely depleted can we risk a parallel war with Iran. Would you send your kids? I know John Mc Cain wouldn't, and George Bush wouldn't even have gone himself. Why don't we ask the families of the over 4,400 dead American soldiers if they are for the war. The Bush administration has already killed more Americans than the September 11th terrorists. And John how is cutting taxes to the poor who either already don't pay taxes or pay very little supposed to help them out? You are out of touch my friend. A heads up Trickle Down Theory is a lie!!!!!!! The last 8 years of republicn aristocracy have turned the American Dream into the American Nightmare, let's not do this to ourselves any longer.
