Thanks for posting this story; too many Christians are too wrapped up in the Holy Huddle to see what's going on around the world. Our church recently introduced a new giving campaign which has a goal of raising $100,000 for a community center to be built in the South African village of Lubabalo. Our pastor visited the village with his sons last winter, and he is returning next month.

In addition to funds for the center, individual church members are being encouraged to adopt an AIDS orphan for $32/month. The effort is being coordinated with a number of churches in the greater Kansas City area.
