Give me a break!
response to Siobhan OConnor and Rob Di Ieso's post Playing Doctor
A sonogram machine does not do evasive procedures. What's next--legislating stethoscopes?
I dont't think that anyone should be frightened of a group who legally and peacefully parks outside an abortion clinic in order to provide options--even in the name of religion.
If one calls themseleves pro-choice, then one should not be afraid of a woman obtaining information from different sources to make their choice.

Well spoken...
Although I do agree with some sort of CPC qualifications.
There are definitly some crazies out there who are not as rational (or legal, for that matter) as these more "organized" groups.
It's such a tragedy that the Abortion arguement overshadows the priority of care for these mothers.

I see your point, but...
This article wasn't pointing out how bad alternative options are. Having alternative options are great, helping mothers who decide to keep their pregnancies is great. And that is what Planned Parenthood actually does! Yes, they offer abortion, but they also offer a full range of WELL INFORMED options.
This article was exposing the hard facts that these CPC clinics, though with good intentions, are LYING to people about medical risks involved in anything other than celibacy and pregnancy. They're disguised as medical facilities, though they have absolutely no medical staff. With no ability to test for diseases or possible harm that could befall the fetus or the mother- these CPC clinics are more dangerous that helpful.
