Who cares if other countries want us there. It is not our responsibility to police the planet. Our troops should be at home defending the United States, not foreign governments.
And we are still legally at war in Korea.

You have some serious anger issues. Seek help.
Saying the Pledge does not make you a good American. Demanding that others say it does not make you a good American either.
Maybe Washington shouldn't have been president. he NEVER said the pledge of allegiance. Nor did any of the Founders. They must have been terrible American's.
Stop being a sheep and think for yourself.

While a POW he gave classified information to the enemy to get special treatment for himself.
While his first wife was laid up from a serious accident John was running around with his mistress. He dumped his first wife so he could marry someone with money to help further his political career.

You guys attack because "McCain wouldn't send his kids" but when you learn that in fact, his son did serve you claim that it was easy and he's safely back home now. So tell me, are these volunteers supposed to permanately move to Iraq because their parents are elected officials? Jimmy McCain did his tour and is where the military ordered him to go. And if he just got back in February why do you think he should turn around and go right back? everyone else gets some time at home before returning. Why do you have a double standard? It is an ALL volunteer military.

You need to learn something. Communism is about taking from the productive members of society and giving it to the non-productive members. This is not communism. It's more like a profit sharing program.

Citizens of Alaska share in the oil wealth of their state. They each get a check every year from oil profits. I guess Alaska is all screwed up.

Being in those countries does nothing to keep us safe or free. And there was no threat to the US from Iraq.
We are in Japan because we forced them to dismantle their military after WWII. We stayed in Germany because of the Cold War, which is over, and we are still legally at war in Korea.
Maybe if we kept our military at home defending our home instead of protecting other nations we would have the resources at home to actually protect the nation.

"Members of Congress voted to authorize the president to go to war based on what they were told by credible sources. If the President of the United States, the Vice President, the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, Director of Central Intelligence AND the head of the FBI all tell you that Saddam Husain and his Iraqi government have weapons of mass destruction AND had a relationship with Al-Qaeda; you'd tend to believe them."
I didn't believe them. Are you not capable of thinking for yourself?

Congress did not declare war. They authorized the President to choose when to use force. They violated the Constitution which you as a Sailor swore to uphold and defend against ALL enemies, including domestic enemies. I got out of the Navy because I was tired of implementing illegal policies.

It is not the proper role of the federal government to assist communities or stump for education. Those are local issues that should be dealt with locally.
I want someone willing to follow the Constitution. Little in Obama's platform is constitutional.

You are the jackass. Those are indeed Socialist programs. You can call them 'social programs' if it makes you feel better, but it doesn't change the fact.
Socialism/Communism is 'From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.' Your examples are wrong. If you don't have the means to pay for school books or lunch then it is provided free. If you need emergency medical care and have no insurance or money to pay it it will be provided free. Of course you have to be poor to qualify. See, as long as you have the ability to pay for it you will pay for it while you are also paying for someone without the ability. The textbook definition of Socialism/Communism.

None of you have a clue. Socialism is just a nice way of saying communism. Now before you go on and on about how Communism requires a dictator, read the Manifesto. What we see in practice is a warped version of Communism.
The basic premise of Socialism/Communism/Marxism is 'From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.'
Just because we have had Socialist programs for decades does not mean they are legal. Each and every one of them violates the Constitution. There is no good reason to support any sort of Socialism unless you are lazy and want others to take care of you.

John McCain is NOT a hero. He's a TRAITOR. By his own admission in his book while captive a Vietnam he willfully gave secret information to the enemy in order to receive special treatment from his captors. The first rule of being a POW is 'name, rank, and serial number only.'

To the person who stated that John McCain would not send his children to war, you really ought to pay attention. His son has served in Iraq as a member of the Marine Corps. When did you serve our country? Or do you just take freedom for granted?
Now before you make a fool of yourself and assume that I support McCain, you are once again WRONG. I don't support either of the bozos. Both McCain AND Obama are BAD NEWS for America. I am just sick of fools like you misrepresenting the facts because you can't see past your hatred.
