response to  cow_invasions's post not only the streets need to change

Where exactly do you live? In my experience in the Midwest, it is the cars that drive recklessly and impatiently. Pedestrians do and should have the right of way because, let's face it, in a person-car accident, the car and people inside are not in danger. I agree that no one should be harassed because of their preferred method of transportation, but I've never seen such a anti-car sentiment.

I'd love to know where people own the streets over cars... and then I'd move there.
