It's a great idea and fantastically entertaining (provided the participants have something interesting to say!).

A recent event i attended featured one or two speakers that didn't really "get it". One lady, who's name won't be mentioned, used her time to tell us how amazing her company was and how it's amazing because of her. It was quite embarrassing to watch.

If you remember the time Michael Jackson got up on stage at that awards ceremony under the impression that he'd won an award, you'll get an idea of how uncomfortable it was. I'm pretty sure she thought she'd won a "best person in the world, ever" award.

She definitely hadn't.
